Acumen is the first ever OET Premium Preparation Provider of West India. It was established in 2016 by Mrs. Priya Shah, a TESOL certified English language trainer who currently holds the position of academic director and curriculum developer. 

Acumen’s course patterns, as well as trainers, are authenticated by OET Australia. Instead of using the conventional theoretical approach for English Language teaching, we use contemporary ESL pedagogy which focuses heavily on student participation. Our students describe it as the place where they get holistic training for enhancing their communication skills as healthcare professionals. They feel their training at Acumen has been the biggest transformation they have ever experienced in their professional life. Our intensive speaking soft-skill training helps students to become not only a good clinician but also an excellent communicator that builds stronger connections with their patients.

The high-quality courses we deliver include a series of interactive sessions to help students develop their critical thinking and analytical skills in reading and listening. Students are provided with one–on–one speaking practice and personalized feedback on their writing skills. Acumen’s LMS is a huge collection of Recorded Sessions and heaps of OET Official Materials that help students to enhance their linguistic skills. Students are allowed to access the login portal at their feasible time which provides flexibility and repetition of the particular topic. Through a series of Mock exams with an assessment that closely resembles the OET assessment criteria, we help our students to get prepared for managing their time and handling their nerves on the exam day.

We have a dedicated team of trainers who work one-on-one with the students to help them achieve their desired scores. All the trainers are TESOL certified and have been trained by OET Australia.

Acumen also assists nurses and doctors to achieve their professional license and secure a rewarding job in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. We practice integrity and ensure our candidates are safe when they first move abroad to start their dream international healthcare career.
